  • Samuel Smithers ( – d 1902) married Martha Halliday ( – d. 1905) – Samuel was a  collector for the IMB – he arrived in the 1850’s from England to live in Fairy Meadow where he was playing cricket in 1874, then later lived in Bulli and finally Charlotte St Wollongong – was in jury duty in 1893

    • Albert Smithers b. 1856 married to  Emily L Loveday  ( b. 1858 – d. 1897) daughter of William Thomas and Jane (Bessell) Loveday of Kiama, (it seems that she was not related to Sherbrooke’s John Loveday).  In 1879 was Secretary in the Star of Freedom Division of the Sons of Temperance, helped in the search for victims of the 1887  Bulli Mine Disaster,  mentioned in 1890 reference to Old Bulli – and living on the Cemetery Site behind Dinning‘s in Sherbrooke in 1891  – chaired the Debating Club in 1892 – 1893 (May, November)  participated in the Sherbrooke Debating Club – and was participating in the Sherbrooke Progress Committee in 1891,  1892  1893 –  the fox shoot was due to start at his home in Sherbrooke in 1895 was Miners Secretary of Bulli in 1899, 1902 was on the Bulli Hospital Cottage Committee
      • George Thomas Smithers (1880 – 1956) married in 1903 to [1] Deborah Chilby (b 1883- d. 1937), daughter of Thomas Chilby and Agnes Spinks (daughter of Edward Spinks & Agnes Henry of Sherbrooke ) – see Chilby photos below.
